Job Description

Under the direction of the Vice President Logistics, Operation and maintenance, the incumbent will provide direct support to the Vice President Logistics, Operations and Maintenance by managing logistics and O&M contracts and the organization and personnel who manage and execute the requirements of these contracts. The contracts cover a broad spectrum of business areas and a diverse customer base. The incumbent will be responsible for the overall operation of the logistics and O&M business unit.

Required Skills

  • Contract Operations

  • Work with program managers and employees to ensure full understanding of the contract requirements, total customer satisfaction, and performance compliance by interpreting the Statement of Work and providing clarification.

  • Develop comprehensive guidance and direction for employees to ensure contractors receive/complete specific training and information relevant to contract performance.

  • Develop individual projects operational budgets.

  • Create and monitor submission on contract deliverables.

  • Participate in Contract start-ups and closures.

  • Extensive Travel to various work locations for periodic site visits and contract startups.

  • Provide support and guidance to the program managers to resolve issues and operational conflicts that arise with staff support personnel and teams.

  • Monitor and oversee assignment of Project Managers by Alutiiq, LLC Operations Directors.

  • Business Development Activities

  • Participate in proposal kick-off meetings.

  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise during proposal preparation.

  • Participate in proposal Red Team reviews as requested by the Proposal Managers.

  • Contract Management

  • Assure overall contract financial performance is acceptable.

  • Work with Alutiiq, LLC Contract Manager to effectively respond to any contracting concerns that arise.

  • Status reporting

  • Review Monthly Project Status Reports and coordinate resolution actions with operations personnel regarding issues identified.

  • Report the contracts financial and project status to the Vice President of Logistics Operations and Maintenance on a monthly basis.

Required Experience

  • Ten years of experience in some aspect of Project Management or equivalent is required

  • Experience with Civil Engineering or Base Operations Contracts (O&M)

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, or ten years of equivalent project management experience

  • Experience in managing a work force of 100+ employees

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suites, particularly Excel, as well as other database software packages utilized in the financial management field is required

  • Must possess solid inter-personal skills and attention to detail
