Sergeant - K9 Kennel Master
The Security & Access Control Contract (SACC) is currently recruiting for a K9 Kennel Master (Armed Security Officer) for Kwajalein Atoll in the Republic of the Marshall Islands. Selected applicants will be responsible for the oversight of the assigned Contract Work Dog (CWD) Detection K9 teams, K9 Training, utilizing a CWD, and performing roving security patrols to ensure the overall security of the US Army Garrison-Kwajalein Atoll (USAG-KA) and the Regan Test Site (RTS).
Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this position requires U.S. Citizenship status.
Must be proficient with English.
Have previous experience as an armed officer or guard with security operations knowledge
Have previous experience as a K9 Kennel Master or Trainer and K9 Handler
Possess a High School Diploma or GED, valid Passport, and Drivers License
Have the ability to live overseas for a period of at least one year and work rotating shifts
Have the ability to operate and qualify with a Berretta 9mm pistol
Meet weight and grooming standards IAW Army Regulations
Have the ability to pass a Physical Fitness Ability Test IAW Army Regulations
Pass a background/security investigation and pre-employment medical evaluation
Pass a drug screen and remain drug free during the period of employment
Posses an active DoD Security Clearance
Meet eligibility and suitability requirements under AR 190-51 & AR 190-51
